Ellen's Tuna Queen

We've featured some restaurants in the southern side of the city including Gangnam (Click Here) and Itaewon (Click Here).
Ellen's Tuna Queen Davao is another popular food find in the southern side of the city. It's located at the back of S&R. Just in front of Wild Garlic (Click Here).
This garden-like establishment has a homey facade. The nature-ish ambiance is perfect for a laid-back experience. Painted with yellow walls, the place is quite vibrant and pleasing to the eye.
We went there on an ordinary Monday night and the place was packed with people. It is indeed a popular food place in the South Side!
Ellen's Tuna Queen Davao Menu:
Most of their meals are pre-cooked and available at the counter. If you are not a fish aficionado, don't fret! They have an array of meat-based Filipino dishes like pochero, caldereta, kawali, liempo, pork binagoongan, and more!
We tried pork binagoongan, kaldereta, tuna sisig (one of their best-sellers), and sinuglaw. We initialy ordered Kinilaw, fortunately, the waitress told us that we can upgrade to sinuglaw by adding their famed liempo.
The tuna sisig was quite unique. They incorporated itlog maalat, which added an extra oomph to the typical tuna sisig. The binagoongan was also a stand out.
Tip: Best Sellers include; tuna sisig, fried tuna tail, laing.
Overall verdict: Ellen's Tuna Queen Davao allows you to enjoy home-cooked meals in a cozy environment.
